Bodziszek himalajski posiada kępiasty pokrój, szybko rozrasta się dzięki krótkim rozłogom i dorasta do 50 cm wysokości. Łodygi i ogonki liściowe ma słabo, gruczołkowato owłosione. Liście na długich ogonkach, głęboko klapowane są żywo zielone, ciekawie przebarwiając się jesienią. Kwiaty niebieskie, z ciemniejszym żyłkowaniem pojawiają się od czerwca do sierpnia. Bodziszek himalajski nadaje się na rabaty oraz do okrywania powierzchni na stanowiskach słonecznych, umiarkowanie wilgotnych. Znosi do pewnego stopnia okresowe susze i lekki półcień.
