Lupine is a perennial with palmately compound leaves, consisting of 13-15 lanceolate leaflets, which are bare on top and slightly hairy on the bottom. Depending on the variety, the flowers gathered in long spike-shaped clusters are white, yellow, orange, pink, red, purple. Lupines with two-colored flowers are often found. The perennial reaches a height of 60-90 cm and blooms from June to July. The flowers are suitable for cutting, but they do not last very long in a vase. After flowering, it is recommended to cut the whole plant, which will stimulate its growth and re-flowering. If not cut after flowering, they will fade. Lupine is suitable for flower beds, parks and naturalistic gardens. It likes warm and sunny places, dry to medium-moist soils, well-drained sandy and humus. It does not like limed places.
